BRAVO GRACE NOTES! Press Release

Bravo Grace Notes – Celebrating 10 years of “changing the world one note at a time” will air on the Grace Notes Youtube channel on Sunday, April 25 at 4pm. Through performances by our scholarship students, testimonials from community leaders and faithful supporters, we will commemorate 10 years of providing underserved youth with private music instruction and community outreach.

Grace Notes Music Foundation was inaugurated in 2010, to honor the memory of Makayla Joy Sitton, a joyful, talented little girl who loved to play the piano. Established as a non-profit in 2011, Grace Notes honors her legacy by providing music education and scholarships for financially stressed families.

Grace Notes currently has 21 students receiving private scholarships, provides music classes for the El Sol Community Center summer camps , maintains an instrument program to provide instruments to those who can’t afford them. Our newest program, “Mindful Music”, led by a licensed music therapist, provides workshops for teens. to help them develop strategies to reduce stress and anxiety through the medium of music. The current pandemic has added to an already seriously stressful high school environment and the “Mindful Music” program is designed to support mental wellness in our teenagers.

Please tune in, on the Grace Notes Music Foundation Youtube channel, Sunday, April 25, at 4pm to help us celebrate 10 years of “changing the world one note at a time”.
